Hi all,

I have received the following from an ex student. It is a games competition for individuals, not team work like dare. It is designed to test your programming ability and there are various phases you need to pass. The competition is open to all Universities and each course leader can nominate up to 10 students. Only very good programmers can participate. I expect mostly 3rd year students to participate but if anyone else is interested please let me know. I expect the following 3rd year students to participate:

ARDALAN HAMIDI FATHABADI
TOMMY LY
ALEXANDER NOON
MIHAI GEORGIAN TANASA
MATTHEW WEATHERS

Anyone else with very good C++ skills please contact me. More info here:

The application form can be downloaded from here:

Hi Natasha,

I completed my games course last year, but I just came across this competition which may be of interest to any current BSc Games undergrads.

Regards,

Jason Luong

  1. Haha, yeah I read this and was all "Excuse me but wtf?" about her "I expect the following 3rd year students to participate:". But it will require some intense thinking. I mean it's not like we have endless free time on our hands. But if it doesn't start till December, then...maybe.

  3. Yeah that's a good point, but by the sounds of the project description, it seems the tasks are a lot more structured. So nothing abstract like "make a whole game in 1 week", which means it might be worth looking at?
